Gjensidige is a leading Nordic insurance company listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange and has been offering its services for more than 200 years.
The organisation has around 3,700 employees and operates in Norway, Denmark, Sweden and the Baltics.
Every year Gjensidige selects and invites 60 lucky students to attend Gjensidige Day at its main office in Oslo.
The students get to meet the CEO and several of the company directors and skilled employees to learn more about the insurance sector.
This year, due to COVID, Gjensidige Day was unable to take place as a physical event.
Keen for the historical event, which is the organisation’s biggest branding activity of the year, to still take place organisers decided to replicate it virtually.
Gjensidige chose EventEye to help run the virtual event.
Six different workshops were delivered digitally in six different fields of the company’s areas of business, the students were connected to the field that is most relevant to their education and interests.
In addition, the students got to take part in various sessions and listen to exciting lectures, before the day ended with nationally acclaimed comedians Tore Sagen and Morten Ramm keeping the student entertained.
The event in the words of the organising team at Gjensidige was a “huge success”.
One of the key objectives was to ensure that the business could replicate some of the excitement and engagement that has historically been associated with the physical event and bring this to life in a digital way.
This was achieved through EventEye’s platform by way of voting polls, which were used to engage the students and to gauge their feedback and opinions.
EventEye’s Live streaming chat functionality empowered the students to network with each other which was made even more fun and visual by populating the student’s individual profiles.
Another big hit was having the ability to use gamification within the event which meant the students were not just gazing into a screen remotely but actually taking part in the event.
Engagement and participation were key to the success of the experience.
The team at Gjensidige were able to fully brand the portal to ensure the business stayed front of mind and although the students this year couldn’t visit the office physically, the digital experience was one of enjoyment and encompassed all of the same benefits and knowledge sharing from the expert team at Gjensidige that would have been available in previous years’ live events.
Going forward EventEye is partnering with Gjensidige to not only deliver digital but also physical and hybrid events using the suite of virtual, digital and hybrid event tools.
“With its interactive technology, engagement and support , EventEye made the best possible event for us. Thanks to their service and team, they gave our participants, speakers and everyone involved a great experience.”
